The running world is joining in on the fight against terrorism. USA Track & Field (USATF) has recently announced a fund-raiser it is sponsoring with the money raised to go to the victims and rescue workers of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S.

Stacy Dragila remains on top of the world. This time she had some serious competition reaching the summit.

The future in track and field in the U.S. looks bright as evidenced by recent performances at the 2001 USA Junior National Championships, the first stop in the Verizon Youth Series.

The USA Track & Field’s 2001 Outdoor Golden Spike Tour, in its third year, kicks off May 12 in New Jersey with the Princeton Invitational. Five-time Olympic medalist Marion Jones headlines the tour.

Kenyans Elijah Lagat and Catherine Ndereba will defend their titles in the 105th running of the Boston Marathon. The 26.2-mile event, the oldest continually-run marathon, will take place on Monday, April 16.

ATLANTA – There were plenty of highlights at the 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in the Georgia Dome this weekend where American stars rose to the occasion by turning in some of their best performances of the season.

The star-studded USA Track & Field's 2001 Indoor Golden Spike Tour will open Feb. 2 with the Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden in New York.
