Whether lost for a day, or a lifetime, Jesus remains the door to safety, the portal to eternal life. And no weeds on earth can keep from Him those who seek Him.

Sometimes we tend to forget there is more the Christmas than gifts, visits with relatives and sumptuous meals. We forget that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Too many of us never knew one of our parents. And regardless of the assurances of sociologist to the contrary, growing up without a mom or a dad hurts . . . for a long time. But I discovered a Parent who eases the heartache.

A person might be surprised how much a spider can teach about spiritual things. This spider reminded me about an important principle.

Margaret waited too long before seeing the physician. She had too many things to do and couldn't spare the time. And now she is dead.
But how many people put off making an appointment with the Great Physician because of other more pressing needs demanding their time?

Often the difference between victory and defeat is found in perseverance. Scripture encourages the believer to keep on keeping on. Victory is just over the hilltop.

Sometimes we get so busy being busy that we forget about the end -- and about eternity. But one day, that day will come.

Sometimes life is too fast, too complicated, too busy.

Anyone who has used email knows the frustration of bounced messages because of a misplaced letter. Cyberspace demands perfection. In some ways, God's plan for salvation is quite similar.

As the song suggests, "Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight . . . " sometimes we need a gentle reminder -- "Jesus loves the little children of the world" (and the adults, too :)
