Peace is freedom from war or hostility. Peace also implies a full stomach, a roof to sleep under, educational opportunities, access to medicine, and hope for the future. This website is dedicated to those who have moved our society towards the broader view of peace, fighting war, injustice, and poverty. Many peace organizations fit the true definition of a movement, changing history, politics, and literature. Others may not have had such a global impact, but deserve acknowledgement for their struggle to bring peace to some small corner of the world. This website will profile the individuals and groups throughout history, who have fought for peace.
