Silence Is Golden
In almost every other sport it is permissable to scream and yell while the players are performing.
There are exceptions such as cricket, diving and archery to name a few but golf stands alone with the magnitude of the silent gallery.

Life is not fair.
There are millions of golfers that receive no compensation for playing a particular course and there are a couple of golfers who can request and receive a one million dollar fee just for showing up. I ask you, is this fair?

Have you ever given your opponent an edge and felt good while doing it only to later wonder if what you had done was the most sensible thing to do. This is exactly what I have done and the opponent is my loving wife.

We were not bending the rules, we were just using a few informal ones to help our game. As long as you are not trying to establish a handicap I see no problem with the use of Mulligans.
