Vintage Advertising Art

Douglas Russell

Welcome to the world of Collecting Vintage Advertising Art. This is an exciting field for the collector and offers fascinating study for anyone interested in art history and design. My focus will be primarily upon paper advertising collectibles that feature distinctive artwork and design from the latter 1800s to the outbreak of World War II. Special attention will be given to posters, signs, postcards, trade cards, magazines and labels, but other collecting areas will also be covered. I hope my articles will be informative for not only the collector but also the general reader.
