Tornadoes & Hurricanes

Although tornadoes & hurricanes are very different, both have the power to wipe out everything in their paths. Basically, tornadoes are formed over land and last only minutes with the small exception of those rare tornadoes that do spawn over-water. Hurricanes, however, are strictly formed over-water and can last for days. When hurricanes hit land they die out, but tend to cause tornadoes to form on land for up to three days after the hurricane has hit land.

Within this natural disaster section, you will find articles about tornado outbreaks, historical hurricanes, rare tornadoes, preparing for hurricanes, and even hurricanes with no names. Search through the following pages and I am sure you'll find more than what you are looking for.
