Religious Activism
Religious Activism covers such diverse and important topics as abortion, gay and lesbian issues including same-sex marriage, economic justice, the environment, fanaticism and even whether torture can ever be justified. It also extends to other species. For example, can vegetarianism be regarded as a religion? It certainly has much in common with the foundations of many belief systems.
A large percentage of political activists, regardless of whether they are conservative or lean towards the left, have a deep commitment to their religious views.
