The Valour and the Horror: An Honourable Memorial? In January of 1992, CBC aired a three-part miniseries entitled "The Valour and the Horror", about Canadian experiences during World War II. Writers/producers Brian and Terence McKenna soon came under fire from veterans and historians over their depiction of events during the war, and also for their use of "documented" historical comments spoken by actors. In 1994, David J. Bercuson and S. F.
