You will be shown how to make a scrappy journal with the children. This 'scrappy journal' is the space for an ideas generation phase of creation. Through this initial process the kids will experience keeping their work neatly in a folder or Visual Journal and gain an understanding of how to value their ideas. They will be asked to take pride in their work and to sign and date it each time they capture an image so that they can track their progress. This is a very empowering activity!

She constructed pictures that made sense of it all. Her message is that there is something quintessential to human survival and happiness that cannot be equated to money, power or prestige. Nor can it be gained or transmuted through force or by tricks of ideology or processes linked to human thought. That message is love and it is the keystone to survival.
