II-7 Terumah Making a Sanctuary from Scratch
Terumah provides a list of raw materials required for the construction of the Mishkan, the tabernacle, that will become the center of the movement of religious worship. The materials are to be taken as a voluntary donation, including: gold, silver, copper, wool dyed sky-blue, dark red, and crimson, linen, goats wool, ram skins, acacia wood, oil,
spices, incense, and precious stones. Detailed instructions are given for the altar for shewbread, the detailed description of the menorah and ark within the Holy of Holies to be carried with the tribes of Israel.

Sanctuary! (Part I)
Animal sanctuaries located in rural areas have the advantage of available space that city shelters often do not have. This can translate into time - time to work with an animal to make him more adoptable, or simply time for him to live out his life in peace at the sanctuary. Could these rural sanctuaries be part of the answer to the homeless pet problem?

The magic of the host and guest
In this society, we do not often think of magic as being something which extends to how we treat the people who honor our homes with their presence. But sometimes magic is much more subtle and forms a closer bond by how we treat those who we choose to share our time with. Acknowledging the host and the guest and the roles that each play, as well as the obligations of such roles is not a burden, but rather is a recognition of the sacredness of the connection that occurs between people and the magic that is necessary to keep that connection strong. The intentions we put into such a connection, are in part reinforced by a recognition that both the host and guest do have a duty to each other and can best honor each other by acknowledging that duty.

A TIGER IN MY WHAT?
Tiger Creek is home to many rescued victims of the exotic pet trade, including two tigers once owned by Michael Jackson. When workers move them into lockdown in order to clean pens, all the big cats rub against trees, making friendly noises, or push into the fence seeking human attention. All, that is, except Amara, who watches from a distance.
