Parent/Teacher Conferences (Parent Tips)
Finger pointing in this day and age has become common place. While this may make one feel better at the time, it does little to rectify a serious problem. When we assume we know what the problem is rather than take the action to investigate and get the facts, we usually end up with "mud on our face" because as we all know, there are always two sides to any story. There is an appropriate way to proceed in any investigation but in school oriented situations, this particular procedure seems to work the best in most instances.

Reading to Toddlers
Reading books to toddlers is a special time. It's when the caregiver and toddler snuggle, have fun, and interact on a personal level. It strengthens the bond between caregiver and toddler. Positive interaction also builds on the idea that reading is a pleasurable activity.

Volunteering
Many parents want to be involved in their child's school when they see that something needs to be done, but either they do not know how to ask to help, or think that their offers of assistance won't be welcome. Or maybe they simply think that they don't have the time to be any real help.
