There are many monuments and historical sites, commemorating its glorious nautical past. There are cathedrals, churches, monasteries and convents, a huge aquarium, and maritime museum, a sports complex, built for Expo 98 as well as museums and galleries. Colorful, tile covered buildings line Narrow cobblestone streets that wind though the picturesque old town. The ten towers of St George's castle keeps watch high above the city and the awesome Monument of Discoveries looks out to sea. As usual I have many pictures, links.
