If you don’t why, wrap your hand around the seed pod of one of these plants, being careful not to touch it until you have completely enclosed it. Pow! These two species account for the majority of the Touch-me-not family in North America. The Barberry Family, a little larger than the Touch-me-not Family with 9 genera and about 600 species, provides us some of our spring wildflowers.
