The reaction of a member of the Illinois Immunization Advisory Committee speaking out against a bill which would prohibit any person who is (or whose spouse is) an officer, employee or agent of, or has any ownership or other financial interest in a pharmaceutical company that manufactures vaccines from serving on the Illinois Immunization Advisory Committee. The bill would also prevent Committee members and/or their spouses from accepting anything of value or any economic benefit from a pharmaceutical company that manufactures or produces vaccines. The bill was vetoed.
