Hemp Fiber
Hemp is a very ancient fiber used prior to flax in many cultures for textiles and cordage. Fiber hemps unfortunate association to the medical variety has lead to the lack of production in the USA. Recently Canada has started non-medical hemp growing for fiber, paper pulp, and oil production. Hobby spinners can now easily access this fiber for hobby use. And no you CANNOT smoke it!

Lambs on the Farm
With the ending of summer and the start of fall it became time to once again part with my lambs. Like previously years, I have purchased 10 lambs in late spring and raised them over the summer. This is a small and rewarding business that while not able to make me millions can be repeated on a wide variety of farms with very little in the way of risk.

Why It Sucks to Be the Wife of a Martial Artist
At every martial arts school I've ever attended, the male students admitted to facing flack from their girlfriends and wives for various habits they'd picked up as a result of their new hobby. My own ex-girlfriends and wife also suffer because of their association with a martial artist. We understand why our training makes you want to rip your hair out or kill us in our sleep. We just can't help it.
