Folklore Galore!
Because there are so many resources about folklore that are available on the Internet, I thought it would be helpful to generate a list that hopefully will fit within the scope of an educator's teaching plan. Throughout this article, you'll be able to link to many Internet web sites that will give you and your students the opportunity to learn about specific types of folklore, see examples online student adaptations of traditional folklore and view some interesting projects that have evolved into the idea of collecting and publishing regional folklore. It is my hope that teachers can use the site to enhance discussions on literary themes, students could access appropriate folklore as introductions to a particular genre of writing, and parents can add the wisdom of many of these tales to their family discussions.
