Light Dessert Burritos
I know I have been on a dessert kick lately, not sure why, just a sweet tooth I think. These are wonderful, perfect for a Spring or Summer dessert after a big meal:) I love the fig and apple combination, just the right touch of sweet, without being over powering.

Early Bloomers in a New Land
After three weeks of a constantly spinning turnstile here, at the inn, my wife and I finally got away from the mountains and the winter for a couple days, heading for the coast and Point Reyes National Seashore. Imagine our surprise, discovering verdant slopes tumbling into the blue Pacific Ocean, full of life as well as the promise of life. Gray Whales were spouting off-shore, a variety of birds soared and zoomed and fluttered and hovered, a Bobcat hunkered down in the tall grass as we hiked by, Tule Elk foraged here and there, and an assortment of wildflowers were already in bloom.

The Avian Art of Anthony Romilio
After seeing the work of Australian artist, Anthony Romilio, I knew I had found someone with the same love and passion I have for the natural world, especially when it comes to my feathered friends. My desire to visit Australia and see its native birds has been heightened thanks to Anthony. It was only natural that I would write about this fellow "Drawing Nature" enthusiast.
