THE CASTLE ON THE HILL
Found in the northern part of Logan County, Arkansas, is a small town called Subiaco. Here sits a site of profound beauty, a castle on the hill. An order of Benedictine monks occupies the "castle," as some call it. Subiaco was founded in 1878 by St. Meinrad's Abbey in Indiana; Subiaco's founding father was Father Wolfgang Schlumpf, a monk of Einsiedein Abbey in Switzerland, who had come to St. Meinrad. He was subprior and business manager there before he was entrusted with the responsibility of establishing the Benedictine monks in Arkansas.

Armchair Europe
We're now almost midway into autumn, but it certainly feels more like winter in some parts of the world. Cold or not, this is a great time to travel to Europe because of the much thinner crowds and great airfares.
