Mike spent the early years of his career doing a bit of cross-dressing … in terms of his writing, that is. As a copywriter and creative director, he regularly posed as Carolyn Davis, the well-loved (but completely fictitious) spokesperson for Reader’s Digest who blankets the world with a steady supply of scratch-offs, stickers, and Sweepstakes certificates. After leaving that company, he suffered a case of temporary insanity and bought a nine-room bed and breakfast in Pennsylvania’s Amish Country. When an opportunity came to leave all of the snow and shoofly pies behind and move to the Caribbean to manage an eco-resort, he jumped at the chance. Next stop is Singapore where he’ll be residing along with his wife and chief editor, Diane Curry. He continues to write about his runaway-train style life and all of the stops along the way in addition to running a promotional writing business. He holds a masters degree in creative writing from Manhattanville College. His website can be found at www.clearcutcreative.com. He maintains a blog at passagesintime.wordpress.com. |
