I am a former teacher, mother of a toddler, and owner of a fledgeling freelance writing business, Workhorse Writing Solutions. I am excited to be able to write about Primary School because I can combine my love for writing with my experience as a primary school teacher! My intention for my Suite101.com topic, Primary School, or as I like to call it, Primary School Confidential, is to bring you all of the lastest news, ideas, solutions, and information about Primary School topics, whether you are a parent or an educator. I hope you will find the information in this topic relates to what parents and educators are talking about.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Colby-Sawyer College, with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. Aside from working in preschools and daycares, I was a second grade teacher in a public school. This is where I was "in the trenches," so to speak, and where I learned what really makes classroom learning successful. I then joined the Maine Nutrition network, where I helped provide free nutrition education materials and training to over 600 Maine teachers. I firmly believe that learning, good nutrition, and regular physical activity go hand-in-hand for children.

My other interests include reading mysteries and thrillers, writing for children, chasing my toddler, Sophie, and horses. You can visit my business webpage at: http://www.needgoodwords.com, where you can check out my writing business, read my blog, or visit The Fiction Corner!

I hope you'll join me at Primary School Confidential often for great articles and information about everything you need to know about your Primary Schoolers!
