My love of writing began as a child, with short story writing. I took this passion into adulthood by studying English and Journalism at university. As an editor of the uni newspaper, I learned proofreading and editing and further honed my writing skills. I then went on to study Business Management and Marketing. After uni, I worked as a researcher for a government department where I continued to improve my proofreading, analysis and report writing skills.

When my children were born, I ran my own childcare and tutoring businesses. Since then, I have worked as a tutor in schools teaching migrant and special needs children English and Maths.

My love of writing morphed into a passion for scrapbooking which in turned lead to an interest in graphic design. In the last couple of years, I found that word of mouth has lead to an increasing amount of work for my writing, editing and design services. I currently act as consultant for several businesses on all aspects of writing and editing including website material, promotional material like pamphlets and advertising, newsletters. I have also worked in conjunction with clients to create personalized scrapbooks for unique gifts.

Apart from writing and scrapbooking, my interests are in children, parenting and education. I am currently writing a book on raising children using old fashioned principles and commonsense.
