Winnie Ooi

Winnie Ooi was born in Hong Kong and was educated in Hong Kong, U.K., U.S.A. and Canada. She has an MBA degree (from Southern Illinois University in the U.S.) with a Marketing emphasis. After her return to Hong Kong, she worked through Sales and Marketing field in the textile industry for about one year. Then she joined some sizeable local corporation and worked her way in middle management from Marketing, Public Relations to directorship in Human Resources and Training, Chairman's Personal Assistant and General Management. She has extensive and interesting public relations experience that includes meeting member of the Royal family in UK as well as former premier of China. Her last position was the General Manager of an outdoor advertising company in charge marketing of media spaces at the train stations. She went freelance two years ago.

In the latter years of her corporate career, she took up Ballroom Latin dance as a hobby to break away from her busy work schedule. Dancing has then changed her life. She is now an Associate and Licentiate member of the Imperial School of Teachers Of Dancing, U.K in Latin American dance. She is still actively taking lessons every week with partner/husband in Hong Kong from a Russian teacher. Recently, she wrote a dance program for corporate team building. Winnie is a Canadian citizen who speaks English, Chinese and some Japanese.
