Hello, my name is Westley Annis. I am the founder of da-parish.com, a computer and telephone consultant service. As a computer programmer, network administrator, or web master, I have been involved in the computing industry for almost twenty years. I’ve worked on the lowest of machines (TRS-80 Model I) to the highest of machines (VAX Mainframe), with stand-along machines and networks spanning over twelve offices and two hundred computers in a mix of Novell, Windows NT, and Unix operating systems. Along the way I gathered a ton of experience and have subsequently been inducted as a member of Who’s Who in Information Technology. I’ve been a life-long resident of the Greater New Orleans area. Born in the Uptown area and later moved down to “da parish, ‘dawlin.” With a strong interest in genealogy, it led to a strong interest in the history and customs that make New Orleans a city unique to itself. There is no other city in the States like it and only Paris, France bares a slight resemblance. It is my goal to bring to you web sites that highlight the best New Orleans has to offer, from its food, people, places, and history. |
