Just to name a few of my hobbies, I love crafting, writing, football, baking and reading. I’m a professional writer, therapist, and hopefully soon-to-be event planner for the New River Valley area of Virginia. You can find my writings on the web at: Stylish Events – This is my event planning blog where brides can find recommendations for local vendors, DIY projects, fashion advice, inspiration boards, and much more. With over 34,000 hits in one month, 101 DIY Projects and Ideas, is the most popular post for crafty brides. Obsessed with Martha Stewart - This is my newest writing project. I have become obsessed with everything Martha - from cooking to crafts. Through this blog I'm documenting my journey to become a little more like Martha. I'm using her cookbooks and craft books to learn how to make the best cupcakes, cookies, meals, holiday crafts and more. Examiner.com – I’m the NY Wedding Planning Examiner and loving every minute that I get to write about weddings. I’ve been planning my own wedding for the past two years and will be getting married this October. Everyone Needs Therapy I’ve never met anyone who couldn’t benefit from going to therapy, but I might be a little biased since I’m a therapist. I got my undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in human development and psychology and moved to New York to pursue my Master’s Degree in Social Work which I obtained at NYU. I’ve counseled homeless adults and families with substance abuse and mental health issues, worked in a middle and high school providing individual and group therapy, worked in PINS (Persons in Need of Supervision) in the Bronx with at risk adolescents, and in a mental health outpatient clinic providing individual, group, couple, and family therapy. I think I may have seen it and heard it all. I love to use my mental health background to help others by writing psychoeducational articles around topics like ADHD, depression, anxiety, and workplace culture.
