I was born and educated in South Africa, where I completed a BA in English Literature and Psychology and an Honours degree in Psychology. I continued my studies in Israel, where I obtained a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Tel Aviv. I went on to teach for a few years, then branched into technical writing.
I have written extensively in both permanent and contract technical writing roles over the last fifteen years, for companies such as 3COM, WorldPay, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, VocalTec , Mobixell Communications and the Economist Group . I am a senior member of the Society of Technical Communicators (STC) , a member of the Instute of Scientific and Technical Communications (ISTC) and a member of the Intitute of Legal Executives (ILEX).
I moved to Cambridge, England a few years ago, and after spending 4 years working for a large bank, I have recently started my own consultancy business. My hobbies include tennis, swimming and creative writing.
I have published numerous articles related to technical writing. My educational background in law, education and psychology informs my writing, together with cross-cultural experiences of working in countries as diverse as South Africa, Israel and the United Kingdom.
