I've always been interested in independent cinema, music, literature, etc. Without the pressure to make back a multi-million dollar budget, independent releases have more artistic freedom, which usually results in a more engaging experience. This is not to say I don't enjoy the occasional comic book hero extravaganza; however, with all the marketing push and attention that these films get, it seems pointless to add my two cents about them. That's why I search out the most interesting independent releases and tell you what I think is worth watching. If you're looking for a movie that will challenge you, defy genre conventions, and really make you feel, look no further than the movies that I review.
