Diane Ursu

Diane Ursu joined Suite101 in 2009. She is a writer and an outdoor enthusiast.

She worked as a sonographer for five years with a specialization in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound for one year. She has experience with general ultrasound and related surgical procedures. She has always been fascinated by the human body and how it works.

Diane is a State Board Member At-Large for the Michigan Mountain Biking Association. She is also an editor for the MMBA's newsletter, the Bent Rim Bugle. She began mountain biking in 2006 and began volunteering as a trail worker in 2007. She is passionate about maintaining access to public lands and educating trail users in trail etiquette and sustainability. She maintains a related web site called Moronacity.

Diane acquired her Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2004. She left her ultrasound job to further her education in the biological sciences and to become a full-time writer.
