I've been involved with baseball for the past 45 years. First as a player then as an umpire and now a coach.
I started umpiring at age 18 to earn some extra money. Thirty years later, I'm still at it. I've been a High School umpire for 16 years and worked at the college level for 9 years. I've also coached youth ball, travel baseball and at the high school level in one of the most competitive hotbeds of baseball in the US.
My approach is direct. Some dare say it's controversial. Bully for them. I don’t apologize for who I am. I never have and I never will. The fact that I get results is unchallenged. If you pay attention, read, learn and apply the things that I talk about on these pages - you’ll ultimately discover that baseball is truly more than just a sport - it's a window into life.
I just call them as I see them!
