Heidi Shelton-Jenck is a freelance writer for the education and Christian markets. She is also a mother of four amazing kids, including two tweens. After working in public and private education for more than 15 years as a classroom teacher, ELL teacher, dyslexia teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, and reading specialist, Heidi decided to start writing full-time using her passion and knowledge about children, families, teaching and literacy. She recently finished four books for children and several teacher resources, all scheduled to be published in 2007.
She has a master's degree in reading. Education, children and parenting have been her passion for the last 20 years and she enjoys staying current with the latest parenting topics and sharing them with you. When she is not writing, she can usually be found gardening or playing in the nearby mountains with her family.
