Tamara has worked in basic science research for nearly 15 years, and in the process learned that she greatly enjoys writing about science and communicating the excitement of biological research to others.
Her research has involved the analysis of gene expression in aging and age-related diseases, and the study of metabolism at the molecular level. She has a passion for science education, and believes strongly in the importance of increased science literacy in the population.
Tamara obtained her PhD in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
