I'm a 23 year-old freelance journalist from Sheffield, England. I have a degree in Film and Literature from Warwick University and trained as a newspaper journalist at Cardiff Journalism School.

I'm currently writing a novel about my Grandfather's experience of the Second World War. I support West Ham, as I was born in Essex. I play the drums in a rock n roll band and have a weakness for smart clothes, small animals and RayBan sunglasses. I can make a seriously mean bowl of pasta.

I'm never more at peace than when I'm reading or in the cinema. My favourite movies are Apocalypse Now, Once Upon a Time in the West and Before Sunrise/ Before Sunset. My favourite books are The Road by Cormac McCarthy, The Rumour of War by Phil Caputo and the Secret History by Donna Tartt.

In terms of TV, I'm working my way through the Wire and the West Wing, and I'm pretty committed to Mad Men. I listen to a lot of music, but if I had to take five musicians with me to a desert island it would be Joy Division, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, John Martyn and Joni Mitchell.

Thanks for reading. If you have any suggestions, get on to me.
