My everlasting passion for reading is what led me to writing. I wrote my first ‘book’ when I was seven, and now I have more than seven years experience as a news writer for a local radio station. I have done some freelance work along the way, and now I am making myself comfortable in my ‘Home Suite101 Home!’
Art is a creative process that I’ve happily pursued since I first picked up a crayon. Whenever I can get a paintbrush in my hand I am painting away. I am working on getting my art out there in the world and am thrilled to have done two shows already.
Teaching is also one of my great loves. I have a teaching degree, and I have taught in elementary school, middle school, high school and adult classroom settings. I taught subjects ranging from art to math in public schools in Canada, before heading overseas and teaching ESL in Japan and Brazil. Making learning fun is what I enjoy the most.
I find travelling to be an infectious wonder, and I’ve backpacked alone to numerous countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia. I have had amazing experiences from drinking yak tea with a Buddhist monk in Tibet to fishing for piranhas in the Amazon Rainforest.
