Jill Ocone - Profile

Involved, enthusiastic, lover of life, and caring...probably the four terms which adequately describe me. I am a HS English Teacher in New Jersey; this year I have two British Literature classes, British Literature Honors, and 2 Journalism classes. I have taught all levels of English, both core classes and electives, and also teach summer school classes every year. At my school, I am a very involved faculty member and serve as student government advisor, alumni advisor, publicity liaison, and am active on many committees. During my spare time when I'm not grading papers, preparing lesson plans or planning school events, I enjoy photography, gardening, bird/butterfly watching, spending time with family and friends, shore living, watching sports (baseball, football, Nascar, boxing), and technology. I am happily married with no children, and am even happier that my husband enjoys cooking because I am not a fan of cooking at all.
