Shelley Aylesworth-Spink has worked for nearly a decade in higher education, supporting corporate communications, student affairs and is currently the Director of the Office of the Dean at the School of Graduate Studies at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Her background in higher education includes analyzing and developing policy briefings, speechwriting for university leaders, creating community relations programs, strategic planning, supporting student affairs functions and managing the quality assurance process for graduate programs. In addition, Shelley was public affairs manager for a teaching hospital affiliated with a research-intensive university.
She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on health and public policy, a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, a diploma in Print Journalism and is pursuing a PhD in Cultural Studies, examining the power structures inherent in media and other organizations and institutions.
