I've been writing about lifestyle topics–including food, travel, art, design, books, theater, and movies–since the mid-1970s.
During that time, I've published more than 40 books (including best-sellers like Pasta Presto, Pasta Light, and the recently published Fearless Gourmet and Practically Useless Information: Food and Drink); edited many, many more (including titles in the Williams-Sonoma series); and written many hundreds of articles for top magazines (including Bon Appetit, Sunset, Southwest Art, and Home).
