I am almost finished with a double major in aerospace engineering and Japanese. I have been interested in space and astronomy since I was very young and decided before I entered high school that I would study aerospace engineering in college. Before college, I spent part of a summer at the Biosphere II complex in Arizona learning astronomy with access to their 24-inch telescope. But as much as I love astronomy, it's really just a hobby for me. I'm more interested in spacecraft and space travel. I also have an interest in languages and linguistics. I have studied Japanese for about five years' worth, nine months of which were in Kobe, Japan. At various times in my life, I have briefly studied Spanish, Welsh, and Hebrew, none of which I can actually speak coherently. But I can read a few words, which occasionally turns out to be useful. Overall, the way words in different languages are related is a fascinating tangle throughout history. Finally, I have a very strong interest in Bible studies, especially prophecy, and I love learning about controversial things. I read voraciously and pick up bits of information from many different places. I look forward to learning and sharing information here. |
