Recent Blog PostThe Leisure Society - Brit Film Composer up for an Ivor
Nick Hemming of The Leisure Society has compsosed music for notable British films.
I am a freelance writer and artist based in a small town in the Midlands, England. I have been writing about and reviewing films for over two decades, and I've also experimented in film-making; writing and directing. I hold a degree in film studies and have seen several of my films, as well as films I've worked on, successfully exhibited at festivals in the UK and overseas. In the 1990s I reviewed films for a British programme called Live Flix on cable TV, and I have also had reviews, interviews and top tip articles published in the press. Aside from films, I am also passionate about TV, music and culture, health, parenting, relationship issues and all the peculiarities of modern day life. I also write for a blog called Movienoodle, which is dedicated to all things great in the world of moving pictures, and runs according to the byline "Crazy about movies. Serious about films." Occassionally I also write for the Helium website, primarily about entertainment, and I have a head full of ideas for film/TV scripts and stories, which every so often I endeavor to get written down. |
