Tammy Andrew lives life with her mind wide open. Writing and teaching are two of her tools to share what she discovers.
Tammy teaches Computer Science at the Milford High School and Applied Technology Center in New Hampshire during the traditional school year and at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts during the summers. Her love of teaching has also appeared in courses as varied as math, crocheting, yoga and kindergarten science lessons. She not only teaches but also works with colleges and universities in her home state to coordinate computer science education between high schools and higher education institutions.
After teaching for a few years she went back to school to formalize her experiences with a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on instructional technology. Through this experience Tammy discovered that she has a lot to share with other teachers concerning technology integration, lesson planning, classroom activities and more.
Tammy recently was named a 2008 Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars.
