I've been the Toronto Reporter for the venerable trade publication Variety and Daily Variety since 1997, following the Canadian film & TV biz and attending the Banff World TV Fest and Toronto International Film Fest for the folks in LA and NY.

Prior to going freelance in 1996 I spent two years as Senior Writer for Canadian Business Magazine and before that interned at the Globe & Mail's Report on Business section. I have a Master's Degree in Journalism from Carleton U in Ottawa.

I have tear sheets from numerous Canadian consumer magazines, including ROB Magazine, Movie Entertainment Magazine, Cottage Life, Chatelaine, Toronto Life, Elm Street, Canadian Living and Toronto Life Fashion.

I lived in the UK from 1987 to 1990, and travelled SE Asia on my own (piece of cake, if you're contemplating same, though the political climate is somewhat hotter than in 1990..) I am married, have a young daughter and live and work in Muskoka, Ontario.
