Stephanie earned a B.S. in General Science with minors in physics and professional writing from Portland State University. As a teenager, Stephanie presided over the Young Rose City Astronomers in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. Now, as an adult, she still spends her spare time practicing amateur astronomy, in addition keeping up with all forms of science.
She is a graduate student at Oregon Health & Sciences University for a certificate in biomedical informatics and currently works at the Intel R&D headquarters in Hillsboro, Oregon. Her many hobbies include reading all sorts of books, hiking, camping, crab fishing and bike riding.
Right now Stephanie is a contributing writer to areas ranging from biogeography to personal finance. Stephanie has received 10 Editors Choice Awards in her time at Suite101.
