Suzanne Pitner has a wide range of business and educational experience. After working for many years in the field of educational accounting, she moved on to educational research. After receiving her California Credential in Teaching, she began teaching at the elementary level, and now serves as a mentor for new teachers. Education and lifelong learning are a theme that runs throughout her life. In addition to writing for Suite 101, she maintains the blog TeacherWriter, freelance writes for magazines, both print and online, and writes restaurant reviews for The Dixon Tribune, a local newspaper. She also writes fiction as Suzanne Lilly. She is a graduate of the Long Ridge Writers Group, a member of Mensa, the Romance Writers of America, the Sacramento Valley Rose, and attends writing conferences as often as possible. Suzanne Pitner holds a Master's Degree in Teaching from Chapman University. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Upper Iowa University. Education is a lifetime commitment to Suzanne, and she continues to take courses on a regular basis. She also encourages her students to seek out the new, the interesting, and the stimulating, by being active, reading widely, and reading well. |
