It was not until the age of 48 that I first earned a college degree. In December of 2000, I graduated with honors from Westchester Community College in N.Y. with an A.A. in Liberal Arts Social Science. As an English major in advanced classes, I had the opportunity to tutor other students in a writing workshop.

Wishing to continue with my education, I enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, FL. In 2006, I graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. As part of my curriculum, I interned for eight months at the Collier County Attorney's Office.

Since that time, I have been a freelance writer for Hendon Publishing, a company that produces four monthly and b-monthly publications for the law enforcement industry. This has been a wonderful experience for me and has allowed me to further hone my writing skills.
