Stephanie is a Seattle-based freelance writer and nutrition professional. After graduating with a B.A in Anthropology and B.S in both Biology and Food Science, she spent the next few months traveling across the U.S, exploring the connection between food, culture and locality by digging into regional dishes and indulging in the natural splendor of the outdoors. Her chronicles of the cross-country journey became one the highest recommend travelogues on Travelblog which sparked her renewed interest in writing.

After settling back in the Northwest, Stephanie completed a graduate program in Dietetics and currently works with a food-tour company, combining her passion for food, people and travel, where she researches local food lore and develops seasonal recipes that highlight the best that Washington producers have to offer.

Though Stephanie enjoys food on nearly every level, she particularly enjoys researching food history and recipe origins and uses her background in food science to develop fresh, natural ways to re-envision timeless classics.
