Eric Gibbs

Hi everybody! My name is Eric Gibbs and I like music. A lot. You wouldn't believe just how incredibly, unbelievably into music I am. I also enjoy writing about music, and if you like reading about it that's probably why you're checking my profile on this website right now. Either that or you're aimlessly surfing the web at three A.M. because there are only so many times you can check facebook in a given night. Whatever the reason is, you're here. Anyway, back to the whole music thing. I like a pretty eclectic mix of genres, though my favorites are probably Punk, Post-Punk, and 1980s Alternative/ Indie Rock. I like writing about music because doing so allows me to examine and pinpoint what it is I like or dislike about it, and thus have a greater understanding how my own taste works. I encourage anyone who is into music to take the time to write out or verbalize your feelings about it, you'd be surprised what you can learn about your taste and yourself. I write about older albums and artists that may not be well known, but are nonetheless important, some new material that catches my eye, and I also make the occasional list. So, I hope you enjoy my writing and that you try doing it yourself, especially if need a hobby and you find yourself aimlessly searching the web at three A.M. on a regular basis.
