Scott Nicholas Amendolare ("Nick "), a freelance Writer, Producer and Director for the film and television industry, was born in West Islip, New York, on a crisp February morning to second generation Italian- American parents.
After graduating from Florida State University, where he received his B.A. in Theater, he attended the prestigious London International Film School in the United Kingdom. Excelling in leadership as well as his studies, Mr. Amendolare operated as the school's President of the Student Union as well President of the Film Society for his full duration of study. In addition to continuing the quality of the school's extra-curricular exhibitions, he furthered the quality of visiting lecturers by securing guest such speakers as Italian cinema legend, Bernardo Bertolucci. Graduating with a Masters of Arts, he was awarded an overall distinction in Film Production with the emphasis on Writing, Producing and Directing.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Mr. Amendolare began working in development for companies such as Stonebridge Entertainment, Donner-Schuler-Donner, Silver Pictures, Levinson / Rosenfeld and the Kushner-Locke company as a freelance script reader, while starting on the bottom in the production end of the business, later establishing himself as a First Assistant Director, working on independent features, commercials and music videos.
As a hands on producer, Mr. Amendolare has 15 years experience in producing both scripted and non scripted formats, inclusive of television long form, short form, reality based television, independent features, commercials and music videos. His credits include Madame Hollywood, Hard Justice, The Fifth Element, Criss Angel: MINDFREAK and Bridezillas. As a freelance screenwriter, he has written five screenplays of which two were produced and three optioned by independent production companies.
Mr. Amendolare's comprehensive knowledge of the film making process enables him to take a project from concept through to delivery with integrity, creativity and passion.
As a freelance writer, he has published over fifty articles on the web, with the variety of subjects including Film Production, History and Criticism, Native American history, Visual Art, Relationships, Social Integration Skills and Development, Faith, Religion, and all too important method of choosing the right cigar. His talent and creative passion extends to fine art, having exhibited in the United States, Italy and London.
