Trying to think of a way to describe myself is a lot like trying to come up with a succinct way of describing the color blue. I've been a writer ever since my fifth grade teacher asked me to write a poem for our class newsletter. The poem was terrible and every poem I've ever written since then was equally bad, if not more so.
However, once I shrugged off the poetry bug, I found I did have a talent for short stories. To date, I've had several short stories appear in various web and print zines (some of them even paid me!), and I recently started a class to help beginning freelance fiction writers get their feet wet.
Aside from that, I like to crochet, breed betta fish, and dance around my apartment to the strains of hard rock or, if the mood strikes, big band. Additionally, I like cookies.
