Christine is a Stay-at-Home-Mother of three children under the age of 6 working feverishly to maintain the appearance of order, calm, and happiness. The stark reality hidden behind laundry room doors and in the questionable freshness of the vegetable crisper need not be discussed. Christine loves her family and is well loved by them, as demonstrated by the amorous dog-pile of toddler arms and legs that descend upon her whenever she might take a brief sit-down rest on the couch. (And her husband still says nice things about her after 8 years of marriage so that should count for something too.)
Christine graduated with a BA in Literature from Sonoma State University where she learned to read great literature really really fast and write pithy essays for very small audiences. She pursued further education in the Master's program at both SSU and UC San Diego while simultaneously working as a Substitute Teacher in no less than 6 school districts before pregnancy and the ensuing identity crisis brought her down.
She emerged triumphant and dedicated to mothering, breastfeeding, parenting, and supporting her loving and attentive husband as they moved through 3 zip codes, 5 residences, and 4 career changes (his, not hers). She has found time amidst the distractions of diapers and moving boxes to volunteer with a non-profit organization supporting breastfeeding mothers, to establish fantastic vegetable gardens appreciated primarily by gophers and herself, and to avoid exercise with a religious zeal outdone only by those who exercise with religious zeal. She also volunteers as President of her Church’s Sunday School for children ages 18 mo to 12, reads stacks of books, and prepares delectable meals (also appreciated primarily by herself but no gophers involved). She keeps chickens, homeschools her eldest, and considers herself to be at least marginally successful at most of the things listed here.
Christine has written all her life but only recently begun her high status career as a web content writer. She enjoys the written word in all forms and looks forward to sharing her talents as a writer with a wider audience.
