Shannon Muir - Profile

I work in the entertainment industry, with background in animation production and am transitioning to becoming an animation writer. My animation production experience puts me in direct contact with nearly every facet of the animation process, and I have friends in many of the various job divisions. I will tap into my expertise and contacts to teach you what I can.

My father served twenty four years in the US Navy; born in San Diego, California, I've also been to Japan and Hawaii before moving to Cheney, Washington in 1984. I knew I wanted to write for animation since age thirteen, and correspondeded with two professional writers in my teenage years. This ultimately led me to a BA in Radio-TV and English from Eastern Washington University and my move to Los Angeles in 1996. More recently, I earned a Professional Certificate in Screenwriting for Television and Film from UCLA Extension in March of 2001.

I'm also credited with co-developing the official starmap for the VOLTRON animated television series, as seen at http://www.voltronforce.com and have a strong internet presence. Also, I've written online articles for Sabledrake Magazine, the Writers Store eZine and for the Deborah Gibson fanzine Between the Lines.
