Scott F. Johnson

Scott F. Johnson is a Professor of Law with Concord University School of Law where he teaches a variety of courses inlcuding health law, administrative law, and medical products liability. He is also an adjunct Professor of Law at Franklin Pierce Law Center where he teaches education law courses. Prior teaching, Professor Johnson practiced law and was counsel in a number of important special education cases. He remains co-counsel in Claremont v. Governor, the case establishing that all New Hampshire students have a fundamental right to an adequate education.

Professor Johnson has published numerous articles about a wide range of topics. He has published two books: the New Hampshire Special Education Law Manual: A Guide for Parents, Educators, & Professionals and Preventing Physical Restraints in Schools: A Guide for Parents, Educators & Professionals.

He is the founder of NHEdLaw, LLC, www.nhedlaw.com, and the Education Law Resource Center, www.edlawrc.com. Both provide resources and information about education law topics to help parents, educators and other professionals understand legal requirements and meet student needs. He is also a hearing officer with the New Hampshire Department of Education.
