Susan Morris is a British writer on the job interview process for Suite101.com. Susan has conducted job interviews as a company director and has sat on over 70 interview panels for tenured academic posts in universities, university research fellowships, university teaching posts and university graduate school scholarships.
Graduating from the University of Manchester and holding a doctorate from the University of Glasgow, Susan Morris has worked 15 years in higher education in the United Kingdom with sojourns to universities in Canada and Australia. Susan has published articles in academic journals including Quarterly Journal of Medicine, Public Health Nutrition, Gender and Education, Howard Journal of Criminal Justice, Journal of Health Psychology and reviewed grant applications. Susan has accepted several invitations to join book prize judging panels and reviewed proposals and manuscripts for publishers. Susan and Professor Rosaline Barbour are the Journal Editors of Sociological Research Online an international academic journal which offers the annual SAGE Prize for the Most Innovative and Excellent Paper.
From her British Association for the Advancement of Science Media Fellowship in 1998 Susan had bylines in The Times Higher Education Supplement and an article published in Science New Wave about science writing. Susan has published restaurant reviews in The List - the guide to what's on in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scotland and the Suite101.com article Subjects for Food Writers by Susan Morris received an Editors Choice Award.
